OCEAN FREIGHT

Ocean freight is the most inexpensive way to transport overseas and when shipping sea freight you will be billed either by the container (20' or 40') or by the cubic meter.

When comparing cost, please consider all expenses such as terminal charges, port handling, duty, taxes, trucking and storage.

In order to be adequately prepared for the transition, please make your reservation at least 6 to 8 weeks in advance to ensure prompt service. Don't forget that we also offer services for moving to PA that rival all other philadelphia movers.

PACKING

The safest method for international shipments is the use of ocean containers.

Ocean containers vary in size:

• 20 foot container (1,000 c.f.) Measures a length 5.9 m, width 2.35 m, height 2.35, door opening: width 2.343 m, height 2.278.
• 40 foot container (2,000 c. f.) Measures a length 12.0 m, width 2.35 m, height 2.395 m, door opening: width 2.343 m, height 2.280.

We recommend ocean containers as the most secure method for international shipments.
